Today we are releasing the first major update to Power Music Essentials since its launch over two years ago.
Cambron’s free Power Music Essentials was released in March 2014. It has been incredibly successful with thousands of users being introduced to Power Music through this free edition. Essentials is not a “trial” version of Power Music it is a fully functional digital music display system for personal use. However, what Essentials doesn’t have is the incredible feature set of its “big brother” edition, Power Music Professional.
Over the last two years we have added many new features to Professional and made some major “behind the scenes” changes as well. So we have decided it is now time to put some of these changes into Essentials in this free update to our free software!

What’s New in Power Music Essentials
Database: The first major change was to bring the database behind Essentials in line with the one used in Professional. This means that same database is now used by both Essentials and Professional making upgrading to Professional smoother. This also allows Essentials to display Parts. Parts can be created in Professional and are versions of the same piece of music for different instruments or in different keys.
Sheet Music Editor: The biggest change in the new version of Essentials is the Sheet Music Editor. The Sheet Music editor had undergone a major change in Professional with a more graphical look and feel. Since we want Essentials users to have the same experience as Professional users we have updated the Editor in Essentials.
Help: Don’t worry about not getting to grips with the new Editor, we have produced video tutorials to guide you step-by-step through the new Editor.
